SURGICAL DENTAL EXTRACTION
What is the treatment?
The act of extracting a dental organ or part of it, using some or all of the stages that make up the surgical act, is known as “surgical removal”. These stages include: incision, flap lift, ostectomy, odontosection, regularization of the alveolar process and the suture.
How is it performed?
In this type of extraction the surgical field is wider, provides greater visibility and therefore, greater access to the surgical site; by dividing the dental organ, or by eliminating the retentive bone tissue, the resistances are overcome; which makes tooth extraction less traumatic.
