REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE
What is the treatment?
Removable prostheses are a restorative dentistry treatment that, as the name implies, is designed and manufactured so that the patient can put it on and take it off when needed, which greatly facilitates their hygiene. It is used to replace dental absences in people who have lost one or more teeth, but not all.
How is it performed?
If one of these treatments is chosen, the dentist will take the measurements of the patient’s mouth to make a three-dimensional mold. With it and the detailed indications it deems necessary, it will commission a dental laboratory to make a prosthesis.
For the preparation of this prosthesis the dentist must perform several tests and so the patient can get an idea of how the rehabilitation of his mouth will be, and on it, the dentist will suggest the small adjustments that are necessary before the final prosthesis is elaborated.
